Terms & Conditions of Service

By booking an appointment I agree to:

 

1) Read the following sections below and follow the guidance therein.

2) Fill out a Client Registration and Disclaimer form before my first adjustment session begins.

NB: paper forms will be provided for 1-On-1 sessions. Distance clients can fill out an online form by clicking the Forms button above.

3) Pay the appointment fee in full before my appointment begins. 

NB: Current online payment methods include: credit card, PayPal, Afterpay and bank transfers. Pre-approval is required before in-person cash or Eftpos payments will be accepted on the day of the appointment. (Fees are in NZ dollars and are subject to change without notice.)

4) Arrive on time to my appointment, or advise Vanessa ASAP if I'm going to be more than 15 minutes late.

NB: If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be cancelled and rebooked for another day. 

5) Advise Vanessa ASAP if I am feeling any cold or flu symptoms, or if any of the situations listed in the CAUTIONS & GUIDANCE arises so that Vanessa has the opportunity to reschedule my appointment if necessary and offer the vacant appointment to someone else. I understand that Vanessa reserves the right to cancel my appointment if she believes it to be unsafe to proceed. 

6) Advise Vanessa at least one day in advance of my appointment if I require a support person to be present.

7) Be accompanied by an adult during my appointment if I am a minor. 

8) Not to smoke or vape immediately prior, or wear any strong fragrances like perfume or body sprays to my in-person appointment. 

9) Respect Vanessa, her work, her other clients and the sanctity of Vanessa's home.

 

10) To regard every adjustment session as a sacred ceremony and be fully present when their session is taking place regardless of whether their session is a 1-On-1 or a distance session. 

Cautions & Guidance:

 

Listed below are situations in which Biofield Tuning may not be beneficial and is not recommended:

  • Terminal illness

  • Cancer

  • Heart condition / pacemaker / electronic implants

  • Concussion or head injury in the last 6 months / broken bones

  • Heavy metal / poison / food detoxing

  • Pregnancy / trying to get pregnant / breastfeeding

  • Varicose veins (could cause discomfort)

  • Morbid obesity (could cause severe detox)

ATTENTION DISTANCE CLIENTS:

For practical and safety purposes, please make sure you have at least 6 metres separation between yourself and other people or animals so that your energy fields do not overlap during your distance session. 

AFTER YOUR SESSION:

Everyone’s session is different and responses can vary. Most people report feeling clearer, calmer, more relaxed and self-aware immediately afterwards, for others it takes a bit longer. Sometimes clients will experience a strong healing response such as:

  • The need to urinate more frequently.

  • Disruptions to women’s next menstrual cycle.

  • Tiredness or exhaustion, needing to sleep for a day or more: generally, this happens with people who have been ‘running on empty.’

  • Dealing with feelings/traumas that surface or becoming aware of unhealthy behavioural patterns, thoughts and beliefs could make you emotional.

  • Headaches and dizziness.

  • In very rare instances: skin rashes, mucus, fever, vomiting, loose stools and

    excessive thirst.

 

Generally these symptoms are a sign of detoxification and will pass within a day or two. If a condition persists, it is important to see Vanessa again, sooner rather than later. Sometimes people can get stuck in the unwinding process and need an additional boost to complete the adjustments.

HYDROTHERAPY
Due to the conductive properties of water, it is beneficial to be well hydrated with water or herbal teas before and after a session. Soaking in a mineral or Epsom salt bath for a minimum of 20 minutes after a session is also recommended, this helps support the body in detoxifying or releasing any physical components from the blockages released from the energy field.

Disclaimer:

 

1) Energy therapy* is designed to assess where they body's electromagnetic and subtle energies are blocked or are in dissonance, then correct the flow of these energies in order to boost health and vitality.

 

2) Energy therapy does not seek to diagnose or replace professional medical advice and should be viewed as complimentary to the healing arts.

 

3) All the known situations in which an energy therapy session would not be beneficial have been listed above. Energy therapy may have other possible health benefits and risks that are not yet known.

 

4) Everyone's treatment session are different and responses can very greatly and I may have a strong healing response that might require me to rest the following day. 

 

5) Receiving a distance session could make you very sleepy or distracted, therefore you should not drive or operate heavy machinery during or straight after your distance session.

 

6) Some prescription medications and recreational drugs may effect your response to the session.

 

7) Given there are so many variables involved with energy therapy, Vanessa cannot be held responsible for any undesirable outcomes.

* Energy Therapy is a term that refers to a variety of techniques based on the modification of energy fields that look at imbalances within an individuals energy system as well as the energetic influence of thoughts, beliefs and emotions on the body. 

Cancellation Policy:

I turn other clients away so that I can hold your appointment time open for you, so please respect my 24 hour cancellation policy and let me know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment to avoid paying in full. 

I reserve the right to cancel a client session for the following reasons:

1) If I am not satisfied that a client has followed the Cautions and Guidance and is putting themselves, myself or others at risk.  

2) If a client has not respected me, another client, my work, or any of the Terms and Conditions stated above.

3) If a client is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment. This this to prevent my next client's session being impacted. 

4) If I feel that there is a mismatch of energies between a client and myself.

 

Refund Policy:

​In accordance to the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act, I am not required to offer a client a refund or exchange if:

  • they have changed their mind

  • their circumstances change

  • they find cheaper products or services elsewhere

 

New Zealand law does not require a trader to give a customer a refund on goods or services that are discounts or on sale, therefore Pre-paid plans are non-refundable. This also applies to discounted sessions, classes, tutorials or products. 

If goods purchased are faulty, you have 14 days to let me know. I reserve the right to exchange, refund or issue a credit voucher. 

1) Regarding Cautions and Guidance.

If I am not satisfied that a client is following the Cautions and Guidance and is putting themselves, myself, or others including myself at risk, and I decide it is safer to cancel the client's session rather than continue, they will not receive a session refund if the cancellation is within the 24 hours prior to the session.

2) Regarding Terms and Conditions.

If a client does not respected me, my other clients, or any of the Terms and Conditions stated above, it will be viewed as a breach of the Terms and Conditions and they will not receive a session refund.

3) Regarding Lateness.

If a client is more than 15 minutes late to their appointment and they need to cancel and rebook their appointment for another day, they will not receive a refund for the missed appointment

4) Regarding Mismatched Energies.

If a client feels there is an energetic mismatch between them and myself, they must provide me with a written statement within 7 days of their last session explaining why and offer me the opportunity to respond. If an understanding cannot be reached, they may be issued with a part or full refund on pre paid sessions, which have not been discounted.​ NB: This refund policy does not include Pre-Paid Plans.
